Terms
Terms of Service.
These terms describe the rules for using DebateBoost's website, app, coaching tools, and related services.
Effective date: June 26, 2026. By using DebateBoost, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you use DebateBoost on behalf of a student, child, family, school, or team, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
What DebateBoost is
DebateBoost is an AI debate practice product for middle and high school students. It helps students practice speeches, receive coach-style feedback, run focused drills, track progress, and build confidence for competitive debate.
Accounts and eligibility
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.
- Students under 13 need parent or guardian approval before using DebateBoost.
- If required approval is not completed, we may block or deactivate the account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create risk, or misuse the service.
Acceptable use
- Use DebateBoost for lawful educational and debate-practice purposes.
- Do not upload or submit illegal, abusive, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or privacy-invasive content.
- Do not attempt to bypass security, overload the service, scrape the product, reverse engineer protected systems, or interfere with other users.
- Do not share another person's private information without permission.
- Do not use DebateBoost to cheat in a competition, violate tournament rules, or misrepresent AI-generated work as allowed human work where rules prohibit it.
Student content and feedback
Students and account holders keep ownership of the speeches, text, recordings, and other content they submit. You give DebateBoost permission to process that content so we can provide feedback, drills, progress tracking, support, safety, and product improvement.
AI feedback is educational coaching support. It may be imperfect, and students should use judgment, coach guidance, and tournament rules when deciding how to prepare.
Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
- Paid plans will be billed through our payment provider once checkout is available.
- Prices, currencies, billing intervals, and plan limits will be shown before purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
- Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Intellectual property
DebateBoost, including our software, design, branding, product experience, prompts, workflows, and content that we provide, is owned by DebateBoost or its licensors. You may not copy, sell, or redistribute the service except as allowed by these terms.
Third-party services
DebateBoost depends on third-party providers for infrastructure, email, payments, analytics, AI, audio processing, storage, and other services. Their systems may process information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Service changes
We may update, improve, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of DebateBoost. We may also update these terms. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the product, website, or email when appropriate.
Disclaimers and limits
DebateBoost is provided as an educational practice tool. We do not guarantee tournament results, school outcomes, uninterrupted service, or error-free AI feedback. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
