Policy
Refund and cancellation policy.
How refunds, cancellations, renewals, and plan changes work for DebateBoost paid plans.
Refunds for new subscriptions
- We offer a 14-day refund period on first-time purchases of any paid plan, whether billed monthly or annually.
- To qualify for a full refund, your account must show limited, exploratory usage during those 14 days. We review usage such as completed practices, drills run, and total sessions before approving a refund.
- If you meet these conditions and request a refund within 14 days of your initial charge, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method.
Monthly subscriptions
- Monthly subscriptions renew automatically every month until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time from your account settings. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the current paid month.
- Payments that have already been processed for the current month are non-refundable, except for first-time purchases that qualify under our 14-day limited-use refund policy.
Annual subscriptions
- Annual subscriptions are discounted compared with paying monthly and are billed once per year.
- We offer a 14-day refund period on your first annual payment, subject to the same limited-use conditions described above.
- After 14 days, annual payments are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time to prevent the next annual renewal, and your access will continue until the end of your current paid year.
Upgrades, downgrades, and plan changes
- When you upgrade plans, the change takes effect immediately and we adjust your billing automatically.
- We do not provide partial or prorated refunds for downgrades or cancellations in the middle of a billing period. Any changes will apply from your next billing date.
How to request a refund
- To request a refund, contact us at [email protected] or through in-app help within 14 days of your initial payment.
- We review all refund requests against our usage criteria and will notify you of the outcome.
- Approved refunds are processed within 7-10 business days, though your bank or card provider may take longer to post the credit.
Fair use
We reserve the right to refuse refunds in cases of abuse of the policy, repeated refund requests, or violation of our Terms of Service.
